  • Ernest Quinton was the son of Harry Allan Quinton and Elizabeth Quinton, of Nelson, New Zealand.

    Embarked Wellington, 12 June 1917; disembarked Devonport, England, 16 August 1917, and marched in to Sling Camp.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 27 September 1917; joined 3rd Bn, Auckland Infantry Regiment, in the field, 9 October 1917.
    Killed in action, 30 December 1917.
