William was my grandmother Evelyn's older brother and my great uncle.
A life cut short.
William's image lives on in the face of my sister's son Brendan.
My son Harry would like to leave a message. He is Harry Ralph aged 6.
"Today is the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli Campaign. I attended the dawn service this morning with my Dad (Chris Ralph). Today we remember William Ralph who died in 1917 during the Passhendale Campaign. He gained a bravery medal. But then went on leave. He returned to fight but was killed."
We remember him today.
