  • Holger Randrup was the son of Niel and Andrea Randrup, 30 Western Spring Road, Kingsland, Auckland.

    Family have his diary, he wrote in his diary every day from the day he enlisted to the day he died. A short entry was made on the morning of the "8 May 1915 - Beautifully fine morning, whole battlefield spread out in front in gradually rising ground for about 2 miles. N.Z. Australian and Indian troops in one line right across the peninsula and in front the Imperial troops plainly visible by the smoke from breakfast fires." AWMM
