  • Son of Abraham Hobson Sherson and Ruth Sarah Sherson.

    After the war he returned to farming in Waerenga.

    He did not marry.

    John told his story of his service to Jenny Walker and a copy of this is held with his Armoury file.

    Author of the History of Waerenga " Kahikitea, cabbage trees and Koromiko".

    He asked for no service at his death but the RSA did hold a memorial service for him.
