      Commanded 4th Field Ambulance on Greece and Crete, evacuated to Egypt was among the last to be evacuated by destroyer

      Sometimes he acted as Medical Officer, sometimes he commanded the troops.

      Whilst in the Libyan campaign in December 1941 as Captain C. C. S. Loeber, NZDC, of 4 Field Ambulance, was with one of the Advanced Dressing Stations on liaison duties and maintained contact with the Medical Centre and with Brigade Headquarters. His party had a bad time and was heavily shelled, AWMM
    • Cyriil had two children, both sons, David Sterland Loeber, born 3/8/1943 and myself, Peter James Loeber , born 4 /7/1946.
