    Attended Mount Albert Grammar School
    A Dental Surgeon at the Wellington Hospital at the outbreak of war
    He continued serving after the war with the Territorials until retirement with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel
    He contributed to the book by A. McLean 'The Royal New Zealand Dental Corps : tall but true tales from the past ' published in 1997
    He was named a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) in 1983 for his services to dentistry.
    In August 2009 he was inducted to the Hall of Distinction at Mount Albert Grammar School.
