  • Hi All,

We are quite interested in knowing we have a relative in these war archives. To be able to access the line of our mothers side has allowed us to look further into our own history
We have been blessed to have gained direct knowledge from our uncle Neville & his sister aunty Gail. Hoping in future we are able to continue to learn more about our families history & promote our culture through this

  • Fakalofa lahi atu ke mutolu oti. My Name is Neville Luisi & I am a descendant of Siteni Luisi, proud to be a strong Niuean.
I am the third child of Siteni Luisi out of 7 kids. Being able to read our fathers history through these online cenotaph has allowed not only me as a son to read my fathers contribution to the war, but also to my children and the next generation.
Thank you for this wonderful experience

    Kia monuina e mutolu oti

  • Hi Dad You were a soldier all your life, destined from the day you entered the world and modelled yourself on your uncle Taukilo who fought in WWI on behalf of Niue. You brought your uncle's war medals to NZ but we did not know the signficance or impact they made on your life. You followed his journey and joined the army and the skills the army taught you, became the mantra on which you lived your life. I hope we can be worthy of your values abd how you applied them to your life. I am so proud of your contribution. Thank you Dad. I love you.
