  • Uncle Dally is my fathers brother. He joined the Jay Force and his brother Jack also known as Kotuku joined the Maori Battalion. Uncle Dally was buried at Whenua Tapu Cemetery. I knew my uncle as Uncle Dally. He was the nicest man I had ever known when I was growing up.. He was gentle and kind thats what I remember about my uncle. He has quite a large family. He has children who are all adults. Michael also known as Rima there is also Queenie, and Janice. There is also Wayne and Harry and Harry belongs to his wife Paddy. He was married to Paddy Wakarua who now lives in Australia and is still alive today well in her 80's. He now has many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Miss you Uncle.. lots of love from your niece VA Hina. Waitotara.
