    Victoria Cross (VC) AWMM
    On 28th September, 1857 at Bolandshahr, India, Sergeant Diamond and (Gunner Richard Fitzgerald, who was also awarded the VC) worked their gun after every other man belonging to it had been either killed or wounded. They performed the action under a very heavy fire of musketry, and thereby cleared the road of the enemy. AWMM
