  • Son of Thomas Macky. Married Nancy McDougal Rae 1 July 1916. Father of five children.

    Attended Devonport Primary school and Auckland Grammar School. Studied at Glasgow University and after the war Liverpool University.

    On return to New Zealand served as the Physical Therapist in a military hospital and held the rank of temporary Major.

    Settled in Auckland after the war and worked with the Auckland Hospital and in private practice.

    His brother, Thomas Roy Bayntun Macky (known as Roy) (25/73) also served in World War One and was killed. AWMM
