I worked with Fred as a Practice Nurse for him 1986-1987. Was just flicking through an old recipe book and came across my "Freds Bread" recipe. Got me wondering... if Fred is still alive he'll be turning 100 this month. I know because the security code into the surgery was his date of birth! He was such a healthy old man back in the 80s, I thought he'd probably make a century. Saddened to read the obit, that he moved on at 93. They don't make many GPs like that any more. Will make the rye bread on 13th and remember Fred, a man who was respected by all his patients.
