  • As part of our WW1 researchers we pay tribute to Constance Islay Frood, who was born in NZ but served as the British Women's Army Controller 1917-1920. Her father was the doctor in Topsham and her mother famously would not fill in her Census form in 1911, marking it "No Vote, No Census". i.e. no vote for women!!
