  • Alec McPhail was the son of Alexander McPhail and Alice Annie McPhail (nee McLachlan); husband of Betty who passed away on 25 May 2004

    Embarked as a Sergeant

    Gained B.A. in 1948 and M.A. in 1952

    Taught at Heretaunga College (Upper Hutt) and Hawera Technical High School.

    He was the foundation Principal of Spotswood College, New Plymouth in 1960.

    Retired in 1977 AWMM
