  • Born in Apia, he moved to Matakana with his parents aged 7 years and then worked in his father's shop at Big Omaha wharf.

    He joined A.T.C. and Home Guard Signals Section. In 1943 he joined RNZAF as an aircraft mechanic and went to Japan in 1946 - 1947

    He married Winnie Parsons and had four children: Dennis, Brenda, Rodney and Raewyn.

    After the war he moved to Samoa and started an Engineering firm.

    He is buried in Apia, Samoa. AWMM
