  • Son of Duncan and Annie Louisa McQueen of "Brooklands", Maungatapere. Eldest of eight children.

    Three sons, brothers, Alexander Allan McQueen (12/602); John Donald McQueen (44649) and Neil Islay McQueen (74881) served in WW1. Their brother Ralph Bonner McQueen (1401) served in WW2.

    He was the Commanding Officer of Divisional Cavalry (J Force) from 3 May-1 September 1947. AWMM
