  • Brothers Dudley Stagpoole (VC, DCM), Martin Stagpoole and Bartholomew Stagpoole served with the 57th Regiment of Foot in New Zealand

    Dudley returned to England after the Taranaki campaign; the other brothers settled in New Zealand

    His grave, in Hendon, near London was restored and a ceremony held in 2010. AWMM
