    Stage name was Helen Stirling.

    Helen left New Zealand in 1938 for England to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She had previously been a teacher, a profession she returned to after the War, teaching in Ethiopia and Italy, eventually settling near Rome. AWMM
