Private John Patrick Rogan (missing) was born at Caversham, and was educated at Christian Brothers' School, Dunedin. He was a corporal in the Hibernian Cadets, and was serving in the Territorials when he enlisted. He would have been 21 years old on July last. He was for twelve months in the railway cleaning sheds, but left to be a waterside worker. He was a young man of splendid physique. His father is Mr Peter Rogan, of Caversham.
