  • Privates Geoffrey Desmond Whitehead and Frederick Kitchener Whitehead, formerly of Gisborne, are reported to be safe in Italy after their release from prison camps in Germany. They are brothers of Mr T Whitehead, Motu. and Mrs. N A Smith Cashmere Hills, Christchurch. Both the Whitehead boys have been held prisoners for approximately four years.
