    Five sons, brothers served in WW1; two were killed. The eldest William Bourk (5182a) enlisted in England; the youngest, Albert Donald Bourk (6/1223), was killed in action at Gallipoli; Edward Magnus Bourk (4/601) killed in France, Leonard (59309) left with the Thirtieth Reinforcements and James Duncan Bourk (4/601) who also listed in the Second World War.

  • In memory of a Great Uncle who has been unknown for so many years. It is time we got to know of you. You married in England the week you enlisted, fought, came back to NZ and settled in Sydney Australia. Your brother James' descendants included - six children and 17 (?) grandchildren. We will remember you.
