    Composed `A Pohutukawa carol' in Christmas 1941 with music by Willow Macky (d 2006).

    Chosen by Bishop Liston to preach the ANZAC sermon in the Auckland Cathedral in 1946

    Parish priest of St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Parnell 1949-1975

    Editor with John Charles Pierce of the Catholic Review, launched April 1945. Also assigned by Bishop Liston to assist Catholic servicemen back into civilian life.

    Nicholas Reid notes in his book James Michael Liston that sometimes Ted Forsman played cricket under the pseudonym F.A. Forsman.

  • To a wonderful man Father Ted (uncle ted), your masses at Parnell I will never forget. The family get togethers at Uncle Jack and Uncle Keiths were always comical and the true meaning of family. Love and miss you along with all your brothers and my grandfather Desmond Forsman xx
