  • Robert Carnie was the husband of Ursula; son of Ian and Joyce Carnie; father of Kurt, Keith and Tim.

    United Nations service in Kosovo and Siberia

    He was New Zealand's first helicopter pilot

    Served aboard the Royal Marine Commando Carrier HMS Bulwark and also HMS Ark Royal

    After leaving the services he worked as a Helicopter Pilot and Safety Officer with Helicopters New Zealand and Bow Helicopters and in Canada as an Aviation Air Safety Consultant winning awards from the Canadian and US governments
