    • Fred Collier Cuff was born 12 September 1883 at his family home called Littleover, Pages Road in New Brighton Christchurch. He was the seventh and youngest child of Albert Cuff and Ellen Lucy Cuff (nee Cole).
      In 1914 Fred married Daisy Smith and in 1916 they had a son Albert Collier. Fred was was a Marine and Civil engineer and had been working
      in East Coast Co-op Freezing co Whakatane before moving to Ponsonby in Auckland.
      The Military Personnel Files shows that under the Military Service Act he had been Ballot to the Military Force on 18.7.1918. Fred had been in the Military Trentham station for four months before demobilisation on 21.11.1918.
      Fred and Daisy had a daughter Patrica in 1919. He worked in South Africa, Malaya and other countries on engineering projects taking his family with him.
      Fred later remarried Olive Scott and they retired and settled in Whangarei. Fred died 19th Oct.1969 Public - joy - Direct descendant - 19 April 2017 - Military files and Family papers
