Dearly loved husband of the late Marie, beloved and revered father and father-in-law of Kay and Richard, and Quentin and Mary-Anne. Adored grandfather of Jeremy and Anna, Nicholas, Hayden and Brooke. Dearly loved great- grandfather of Pipi, Molly, Cleo, Kenzie, Bronte and Eli. Respected and loved uncle of Peter White. A service to celebrate Doug's life will be held at the St Philip's Anglican Church, 92 St Heliers Bay Road, St Heliers on Tuesday 27 October at 1.00pm. New Zealand Herald. AWMM

  • I really enjoyed the time we spent together Doug and am very sorry I did not get to see you again before you passed away. I am grateful for the opportunities to sit down with you and listen to your life and war time experiences.
