  • Served 37 days. Discharged from camp at Tauherenikau, his character recorded as very good, always did his best.

    He attested giving his age as 45 years and when enquries were made his wife wrote, 15 December 1915 " Many thanks for going to make enquiries regarding my husband's age. I forgot to mention in last letter that he will be 55 next March, as you will find true by looking up National Register. I am in very great trouble at present, two doctors having given my boy up last weekand I think it is my husband's place to be with me as he is my only support."

    Father and son served in WW1: Thomas Bullen Vincent (N/N) enlisted after his son, Thomas Bullen (Buller) Vincent (8/498) was killed in Gallipoli in May 1915. AWMM
