  • Clenard Walter LINDER is my gt grand-uncle, younger brother to my gt grandfather, Gerald Victor LINDER aka Maurice Victor WALKER. Clenard travelled to NZ with his younger brother Winston Clarence LINDER in 1925 after they were accepted in the Flock House farm training scheme - their father, Charles, was killed in Naval service which was a requirement of this scheme. Charles died in 1916 when a U-boat bombed the shop he was on. Charles' memorial is at Lowestoft, Suffolk, England and he is listed with the CWGC.
