  • Husband of Gladys Henrietta Wright (nee Mansfield), father of Ella Kathleen Wright born on 3 April 1912 and Gladys Evelyn Wright born on 27 January 1914.

    Embarked for France 7 May 1916.

    No blame was attached to the premature explosion of the shell in a frontline trench which killed Rifleman Wright.

    His memorial plaque was found in the earthquake rubble at Burwood Resource Recovery Park, November 2013. The Burwood Resource Recovery Park are seeking to reunite the plaque with its owner. AWMM
