  • Private Alexander was the son of David and Martha Alexander, of West Gore, New Zealand.

    He attended Gore School, Southland High School and Otago University where he graduated with a MSc with honours in geology and physics.

    Private Alexander was wounded in action during the August Offensive. He was evacuated off Gallipoli to Malta where he died of his wounds. AWMM
