    Herbert was with the first ANZACs, the 3rd Battalion to land on the peninsular.

    Invalided home to Australia on the Manaia 23 May 1917.

    Sons, brothers Walter Touho Spratt (10/854) was killed in action and Herbert Spratt (376) served with the AIF AWMM
