  • John Richardson was born in the United Kingdom and came to New Zealand in 1956. His parents were Ronald George and Ethal Joan Richardson (nee Harmon).

    He married Beverley Merie Holdcroft on 31 December 1961. They had three children: John Wiremu, Wayne Campbell, and Tracey Louise

    He served in Borneo as a Sergeant and in Vietnam as a Staff Sergeant

    Involved in administrative work for the Commonwealth Games held in Auckland in 1990
