      Nancy grew up in Australia where the family had moved.

      Fluent in French she was a courier for Captain Ian Garrow who helped create an escape route for men from Vichy France to Spain.

      Her story inspired the author S. Faulks who wrote the novel Charlotte Gray (1999), it was later made into a film. AWMM
