    • 'Lyttelton - The Great Sacrifice'
The monthly meeting was held in Social HaIl on Thursday, July 3rd, Mr W. Huston in the chair. Before commencing business, a motion of sympathy was passed to the relatives of the late Sergeant Mick Scannel. "Mick" was a good mate, and a thorough Unionist. Although a good number have enlisted out of the Branch, he is the first to pay the great sacrifice.
