    • Around the end of WW1 George was sent with his family - wife and three young children to Malta for several
      years and from there to New Zealand, assisting in the medical corp. The family made the decision to stay in New Zealand permanently and not return to England. George had resigned but was ask to re-enlist as WW2 started, assisting with again preparing the New Zealand Army.
      George died at a relatively young age, due to a fall at his home. Public - Kim - Direct descendant - 28 April 2016 - Family

  • Major Gibbs is my Great Grandfather. I know of his contributions to England and New Zealand in various wars. My paternal Grandmother spoke of him with much fondness.
