  • Husband of Sally (known as Sarah) and she died in 1991.

He rarely spoke of his experiences during the war. But a happy memory and one of the few stories he spoke of was that he once played darts with Lord Mountbatten during a break.

Jack was later a Detective Sergeant with Wellington CIB before leaving the police force and running hotels in various small towns and raising his family of 4 children.

At the funeral this service was remembered and the guests laid poppies on his casket after the funeral.
