  • Alastair Cameron was seconded from the Navy to Outward Bound at Anakiwa in 1962 as original staff.

    In 1967 he was involved with commissioning HMNZS Blackpool at Chatham, England, and working up in Portland, followed by 7 months on the Far East Station.

    He was seconded under the Colombo Plan to open the Singaporean Outward Bound School. He was Chief Instructor 1967 - 1969.

    Served in Operation Grapple on HMNZ Pukaki from 4.10.1956 to 13.1.1958. AWMM
