    • William Bovey was the brother of George Bovey, of 151, Waimea St., Nelson, New Zealand.

      Nominal Roll has his name listed as William Stud Bovey and his service number as 45974, in Archway his name is listed as William Steed Bovey [Aka William Stud Bovey] and his service number as 45874. Name appears as both Stud and Steed in Personnel file.

      His father was named John Bovey. AWMM
    • William was born William STUD Bovey. His mother was Elizabeth STUD Bovey (nee Greaves)
      In 1835 a Frances STUDD married Thomas Greaves. Parents of Elizabeth.
      The mistake occurred when his name was inscribed on a bronze plaque - it reads STEED. Public - Heather - Other relative - 21 April 2022 - Ancestry website Pallot's Marriage Index for England 1780-1837 Frances Stud and Thomas Greave (not Greaves as above - apologies)
