Horopapera named and described by Ropiha, was a casualty with a "a bullet through the sleeve of his shirt", The Taranaki Herald [11 October 1860].
Horopapera, Hapurona’s son is named as killed in the ‘Journal of Events’ of 10 October, published by The Taranaki Herald on the 13 October 1860. The report states he was killed by the fire of the rear-guard, and is buried.
Sergeant Marjouram also states that Hapurona’s son was shot dead in the exchange (White 1861:273).
