Albert Charles Adams who preferred to be known as Bert Adams was my father. He was an exemplary soldier and served in the NZ Army as a Radio Technician/Operator in which he had trained prior to enlisting in 1939. Due to the start of WW2 Dad couldn't sit his final Radio Technician exam and so sat it upon his return to Civilian life in 1944. he then joined his father, Thomas, and started the building firm of T Adams & Sons which consisted of Thomas and his three sons - Bert, Bill and Ken Adams.
