  • Eldest son of Frederick Charles & Ida Gertrude nee Bishop (Taranaki). Brother of Bert & Betty. Saw war service in north Africa. Married Patricia Eleanore Lynch 8/1/1940. One child Lloyda Helen born 1941, currently living in Stratford, Taranaki. After war went farming around King Country/Waikato districts. Moved to Auckland and grew strawberries in Henderson. Marriage was stormy and troubled before falling apart completely. Lloyd evidently had trouble adjusting after his war service, a condition now called PTSD. Sadly, he took his own life. A tall, courteous uncle whose death shattered us all.
