    Worked on Karapiro power scheme on the Waikato River post war. By 1955 he was project engineer for all schemes on the Waikato. Commissioner of Works in the early 1970s. He played a significant part in developing modern motorway systems in New Zealand. He was awarded the CBE in 1974. He was Government appointed director of Tasman Pulp and Paper. He conducted an inquiry into conditions at Waiouru Military Camp. AWMM
