    • WW1 medals were issued at Naval Office, Wellington and named to ANF.

1914-15 Star. British War Medal 1914-1919. Victory Medal AWMM
    • This man was erroneously added to the ANF medal roll listing, despite transferring from the RN to the Royal Australian Navy with effect from 14 October 1912, and signing up to perform an extended seven year period of Naval Engagement to conclude on 10 July 1921. His service card documents the fact that his entire service during WW1 was spent with the Royal Australian Navy.
