  • J Thom was my great grand father who left Aberdeen (Pitmuxton) to buy land in New Zealand to start a new life for his family. The great war broke out before he moved his family across from Aberdeen and at the age of 39 he did not have to fight for Queen and Country but he did and died for the cause of good.
