  • In memory of my father Alban George Way, Alban Thomas' nephew, who passed away November 20 2014, one day short of 99 years later than Alban Thomas at Gallipoli. Alban (Jock) Thomas was a brother of my father Alban's mother Kath Way (nee Thomas). How sad Jock, that you were killed at Gallipoli only weeks before the withdrawl. I often wonder how different life would have been for our family, and especially for my father your namesake, if you and your brother Viv had come home from the war, rebuilt a life farming, married, had children. RIP Uncle Jock, and Dad.
