  • Robert Thompson was the son of the late Archibald and Eliza Thompson; husband of Agnes Thompson, of 183, Strickland St., Spreydon, Christchurch. Father of Jean Frances Thompson (b 1910) and Allen Thompson (b 1912).

    Was one of ten New Zealanders picked to be bodyguard at King Edward VII's coronation. AWMM
