  • Ashley Vincent was the son of Thomas Braker Vincent and Clara Vincent, of East Belt, Rangiora, North Canterbury. Native of Oxford, North Canterbury.

    Embarked Wellington, 7 December 1916; disembarked Devonport, England, 18 February 1917, marched in to Sling Camp, and posted to 3rd Otago Reserve Infantry Bn.
    Marched in to 4th Reserve Bn, Canterbury Regiment, from hospital, 30 May 1917.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 6 June 1917; marched in to NZ Base Depot, Etaples, 8 June 1917.
    Joined 1 Company, 2nd Bn, Canterbury Infantry Regiment, in the field, 25 June 1917.
    Killed in action, 6 August 1917.

    Commemorated on Addington Workshops Roll of Honour, Ferrymead, Christchurch. Parents: Thomas Braker Vincent and Clara Vincent, East Belt, Rangiora, North Canterbury AWMM
