    • Brother of Trooper Claude (known as Chad) Chadburn Wells (1892-1963) : NZEF Service # 7/1159, of the Canterbury Mounted Rifles, 5th Reinforcements, NZEF. Trooper Chad Wells served at Gallipoli (1915); France 1916 and Egypt (1917). He enlisted 16 February 1915. Trooper Chad Wells was invalided to New Zealand - aboard HMNZ transport ship 'Tofua' - in 1917. He was discharged from the NZEF on 27 December 1917. Chad Wells died 4 May 1963 - aged 70 years. Public - Jenifer - Researcher - 21 January 2017 - Military File of Trooper Claude Chadburn Wells : NZEF Service # 7/1159 : Auckland War Memorial Museum.
