    • Apr 1918 - ROLL OF HONOR - WELLINGTON, this day. Killed in action, April 7th:— J E. Weston (H, Weston, Gisborne, father).

      Mr Weston, of Waerenga-a-hika, was notified, yesterday of the death of his son Private James Elliot Weston, who was killed in action on the 7th April, on the Western front. Deceased was a member of the 24th Reinforcements, and was formerly engaged by Mr V. C. R. Mitford. as a shepherd.
