    Embarked Wellington, 21 November 1917; disembarked Liverpool, England, 8 January 1918, and marched in to Sling Camp.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 20 March 1918; taken on strength, 1st Bn, Canterbury Infantry Regiment, in the field, 24 April 1918.
    Wounded in action, 25 August 1918 (gun shot wound, abdomen: penetrating), and admitted to No 1 NZ Field Ambulance, and then transferred to 3rd Casualty Clearing Station.
    Died of wounds, 26 August 1918.
