  • Arthur Lennard Whitcombe was my Grandfather's brother. My Grandfather was Oswald Whitcombe. My father, Oswald's first born son was named for him. As my grand uncle has no direct descendants of his own dying in WW1 unmarried and I am his grand niece I wish to pay tribute to him for the great sacrifice he made in loosing his life fighting for our right to World peace. Gone yes, forgotten no. Least we forget.
