    • Albert Whitteker was the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Whitteker, of 84 Shaftesbury Parade, Croxton, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

    • Correct spelling WHITTAKER. He had a younger half-brother, George Alexander ARMSTRONG, born at Bright, Victoria of his mother Sarah's second marriage to Alexander ARMSTRONG. He enlisted in Perth as a journalist with the Wset Australian newspaper and served as 3007, 44th Battalion (A.I.F) before being killed in action at Passchendaele on 4 October, 1917 Public - Brian - Researcher - 21 October 2016 - Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour https://www.awm.gov.au/people/rolls/R1727463/
